La Grange celebrates the holidays with heart-warming traditions and festive excitement to support our local businesses.
Digital Holiday Wish Book. The busy holiday shopping season is here once again and today, the Village of La Grange and the La Grange Business Association (LGBA) launched the Holiday Wish Book, a digital catalog full of unique gifts from local La Grange retailers and restaurants. The interactive and digital flipbook has over 25 participating retailers showcasing top-selling holiday gifts to give this season. Consumers will be able to shuffle through the La Grange Holiday Wish Book and click directly to the retailer’s website to easily make a purchase. Colorful pictures, details, and prices of each product are included on each page.
Festive Holiday Lights. Enjoy a stroll or drive through downtown La Grange and the West End and take in the charm of season. Adding to the hundreds of thousands of lights lining the Village's streets, enhanced lighting displays at Village Hall and Stone Avenue Station provide the perfect backdrop for a selfie or a photo with the family, whether standing under a sparkling next to life sized lighted polar bears or in an old fashioned sleigh in front of the Village holiday tree.
Small Business Saturday Flash Sale. For the fourth year in a row, the small businesses in the Village will participate in a flash sale from 10 am -3 pm on Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26) with special offers or sales from merchants publicized on the LGBA app and at www.lagrangeevents.com. The app is available for download on IOS and Android devices.
Holiday Walk. On Saturday, December 3, Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive in La Grange! Festivities begin at 5 pm and include an all-Village sing, Santa's arrival by fire truck to the Village Hall, and the traditional lighting of the Village tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet visitors for photos at Village Hall. Retailer open houses and ice sculptures throughout the Downtown and West End invite visitors to stroll through the event area and discover the unique products and services our local businesses have to offer this holiday season. Children's activities including a kiddie train ride and petting zoo offer free fun for little ones. More information is available at www.lagrangeevents.com.
